Costa Calida Weather
Costa Calida in the province of Murcia averages 315 days of brilliant sunshine per annum. This fact alone makes Costa Calida highly attractive to holiday makers, and provides an amazing incentive for returning travellers. Even the winters are very mild making this region of Spain ideal for tourism year round.
The Costa Calida is a dry warm region, especially in summer and winter, leaving autumn and spring as the seasons for rain. The dominant winds dictate differences in temperature, but the summer does not exceed 40ºC and the winter temperatures usually do not fall below 10ºC.
The warm sea 'Mar Menor' makes this location ideal for all manner of activities including swimming, scuba, tennis, hiking and golf.
The winter temperatures are mild averaging 19ºC during the day and 8ºC at night. Activities such as golf, sightseeing and cycling can be enjoyed all year because of Costa Calida’s fair climate. The sea temperature clocks in at a refreshing 23ºC from late June into September making the sea perfect for snorkelling, diving and swimming.
